Shipping Update #3

Just a brief update this week.

For all who are tracking, the UK/EU/Rest of World stock is aboard the HMM Dublin and is currently approaching the Suez Canal on it's way towards the Mediterranean Sea and due in port the UK on 30/10 (please remember it will take 3-4 weeks from port date to get the stock ready to fulfil and send out).

The US Stock has just started to cross the Pacific, which takes about 14 days. The port date has moved back to Nov 4 as we have had a ship change and you can now track the Hangzhou Bay Bridge! (please remember it will take 3-4 weeks from port date to get the stock ready to fulfil and send out).

Address Changes - Please message me to update your address. It is MUCH easier for me to change that at this stage than after the parcel has been sent!

In other news, we're closely following both the Brexit and Covid situation to make sure there is no impact to this fulfilment process.

The ships are getting closer!

We are fast approaching the exciting stage of proceedings, when we get you your rewards and we get to hear what you think!!

To quickly recap my last update.

All the books are now on their way to fulfilment centres! Check out the last update for ship names if you'd like to track things across the oceans :) 

Please remember that the port date is not the date the books arrive at the fulfilment centres and to allow extra time for busy ports, customs and extra time in the centres to allow for safe ways of working.

We remain on track to get everyone their books in December 

At this stage if you need to change your address details please message me here on Kickstarter and I can update you on the shipping sheets.

Tavern Crawl

As we have a slight lull in proceedings as the ships sail we have kept ourselves busy here at Loke HQ finishing off the random encounter generator, now called 'Tavern Crawl'. I have popped an example page spread from the layout program below. Its looking great and we can't wait to hear how you find our random encounters!

These pages show a sample of the 400+ encounters that have been written for this town encounter generator.

This will be available for all backers as a PDF and we'll pop it into the DriveThruRPG title when we've finished editing!

And finally!

We are starting our 2021 planning and we are planning to launch our next Kickstarter, The Wilderness,  in February 2021. We want to be sure we have enough time to make sure everyone gets their books and are happy before we launch again so we'll confirm the date around the end of December once we are further along with fulfilment.

Shipping update #2

Ok, so we now know ship names :-)

Before I reveal all a quick reminder in case you missed the last update.

• Shipping is super busy right now and so are the ports, customs & road freight guys.
• This means once the ship has docked it can take a week to clear the port & customs, possibly more
• Fulfilment houses need up to 10 working days to receive, process, count and confirm details before they can start picking, packing and posting. Maybe more if there is a queue of projects going out.

In a nutshell please don't look at the port date and think it'll be with you in a couple of days from then! A reasonable expectation based on these dates is that the majority of backers will receive their rewards in December.

If you need to update your address please drop me a message on Kickstarter so I can update the shipping spreadsheets.

We are monitoring the situation where our fulfilment centres are located very closely to judge what, if any, the effects of COVID may be. As I write everything will go ahead as planned but again we must allow extra working time for the centres and postal couriers so they can ensure all relevant safe ways of working.

Shipping update and some more tokens for you lovely backers!

We have reached that stage where things are getting booked to go onto ships.

Due to the huge number of books going to all you lovely people this is quite a complex undertaking and we're looking at 60+ pallets and 9 separate shipments as books travel all over the world to the fulfilment hubs!

We are just waiting for confirmed ship names and we will share them with you. BUT. This is an exceptionally busy time for international freight shipping. Exceptionally. We have actually struggled to find ship space. That's how busy it is. This means the ports will be busy too, as will customs.  This is due to everyone trying to get stock out in time for the holidays and Black Friday. This year is especially bad as the worldwide situation has caused stock and orders to back up and all need to ship at once.

You will see port dates on the ships schedules BUT it can take over a week to unload and clear customs, maybe more as its so busy. And I am hearing from our hauliers that some ports are so busy the ships have to pass by, dock at the next port then road freight the stock back down. IT'S THAT BUSY.  The hubs also need a week to receive, check and process the stock and get the pick and pack line set up, longer if they are busy and have other projects ahead in the queue. 

I know international freight logistics is rather a dry subject but by sharing this insight I hope to keep you all "in the loop" so you know whats going on throughout.

On a positive note this is a Kickstarter which will deliver on time! I had hoped for earlier but those busy shipping lanes have pushed us into December for the majority of backers receiving their rewards!

While we have been having fun with shipping spreadsheets and more shipping spreadsheets we have found the time to add some variations to our digital token sets. Matt has been producing some variations of the token sets in your digital Towns & Taverns Package as we start to release them, and we're going to add them free into Backer's digital bundles, so that's a few dozen extra's for you! We didn't feel right about any backer feeling they had to pay extra to buy tokens they already had to get the extra variations in the sets.

They are in a zip file (Extra-Variations.zip) in your Towns & Taverns title on DriveThruRPG!

We have released the Adventure Module!

Adventure Awaits!

Following weeks of play testing we are delighted to release the Adventure Module to accompany Towns & Taverns. 

We have added this to the Towns & Taverns title in DriveThruRPG (with the maps and tokens) so it will automatically appear, there is no new code email needed. If you sort you library by update it should pop to the top :)

If you haven't got the digital content yet you will have received an email from DriveThruRPG earlier this year with a code which gives you the digital maps, tokens & adventure. Message me if you can't find it!

This year's adventure module is a lighthearted trip to town where a day of adventure, merriment and challenges await at the annual festival of Bo! Meet our (mostly) friendly NPCs, test your party with our fun and rewarding challenges and explore our characterful taverns and market stalls manned by a motley crew of characters!

We are hard at work on the encounter generator PDF which is coming out next!

Shipping update - 

We are getting the books from the factory, through the port & customs and onto ships. This usually takes a week to 10 days to get everything on the water!

Ship names to follow so we can set sail together!

And finally....

Message me if you're moving and need to update your shipping address. We have exported all the data now as we move stock about and start planning the posting stage with the hubs, so I will need to update you on our shipping spreadsheets.
