Fulfilment Update

Thank you all for your patience! Books are now heading out of the warehouses!
US & Canada -
Quartermaster are fulfilling today (they are so fast they may have already finished by the time you read this and your tracking email is en route!). They have already sent out address confirmation emails and A tracking email will be sent when your package is scanned by the courier).
For any issues you can contact [email protected] for any lost packages, damages etc.
Australia & New Zealand -
Aetherworks are fulfilling. They have us on the schedule for this week and I can see packages are starting to arrive already!

UK, EU, Rest of World -
GamesQuest are fulfilling. The books are due with them shortly and we are expecting fulfilment to begin at the start of December. Backers will receive a tracking email once the courier scans in the parcel.
While I have given you links and emails for raising support tickets if you need me to get involved to resolve an issue please reach out to me here or [email protected] where I will make sure everyone is happy.
As we all know this is always a busy time of year for couriers, and this year more than most, so please note services may take a little longer than usual depending on the courier.

Quartermaster are fulfilling. They are sending out address confirmation emails now so please look out for these and reply to them directly if needed.

Tavern Crawl
As per our last update we have now added Tavern Crawl - The random encounter document with 400+ encounters for fantasy urban adventures - into your digital rewards title on DriveThruRPG. You don't need to do anything, it will appear in there automatically and we'd love to hear what you think!

Thank you all so much for your patience! After weeks of impatiently tracking ships across the globe, including some exciting ship changes, we can now deliver the news that fulfilment is very close!
Here is the latest! It's getting to the exciting bit and we just can't wait to get you your books!
US & Canada - Fulfiment is by Quartermaster. The ship is in port in the next day or so and once customs is cleared it's straight to the warehouse! This is likely to take a little longer than usual due to is being BUSY so a little more patience is needed!
UK, EU & Rest of World - Fulfilment is by GamesQuest. The ship is in the queue for Southampton, due in today. Once customs is cleared it's straight to the warehouse! This is likely to take a little longer than usual due to is being BUSY so a little more patience is needed!
Australia - Fulfilment is by Aetherworks. And will be starting imminently! Stock is there and ready to go.
Asia - Fulfilment if by VFI and is UNDERWAY!!!
I will include all the usual troubleshooting contacts and FAQ in next weeks update.
Tavern Crawl
This Town Encounter generator is 140 pages with over 400 encounters and more!
We have (finally) finished Tavern Crawl and added it to the digital package on DriveThruRPG.
Tavern Crawl is the random encounter generator which accompanies the Towns & Taverns maps so you can roll up a town in moments. Or just lift out the encounters you like :)
As usual you do not need a new code, it's in the same folder as the maps so if you sort your library by update it should pop right up! The new file is Tavern-Crawl-1.0.pdf
We'd love to hear what you think :)
(The link to the digital contact was sent our earlier this year directly from DriveThruRPG and gives a link to access all the digital maps, the adventure, tokens and the Tavern Crawl random encounter generator).

Shipping update #4, Brexit and VAT.

Shipping update
Well this is always the bit that feels longer than it is! The ships and stock are still making their way to where they need to be!
As expected the ports and shipping lanes are very busy, and this has added a few days onto the ETAs in port all round, the ships are now expected early November.
We are working closely with our partners to make sure everything is ready to go when the books arrive at the warehouses and next week's update will have more on this.
We do not expect this small delay caused by busy shipping lanes to affect our schedule.
Brexit and VAT
There is quite a lot going on at the moment so I thought this may be a good time to address two rather current issues (these only impact UK and EU backers).
1/ Brexit.
From the end of December the UK will leave the EU and this means taxes and duties will apply to shipments from the UK to the EU unless a trade deal is agreed.
To put minds at rest we have been planning for a worst case scenario. We work with GamesQuest in the UK to manage our global fulfilment (and the orders shipping from our website) and they have been very proactive putting plans in place for 2021. The outcome of this hard work is that our customers and backers in the EU will not notice any change. There will be no additional fees and no extended delivery times for either backers or our customers. We will change how we do things our side so our customers have the best experience.
2/ VAT
Something all UK users of Kickstarter, and indeed anyone UK based who buys online from outside the UK, should be aware of is a change in VAT laws which require worldwide sellers to register for VAT in the UK and charge VAT on sales to UK customers. As a VAT registered UK company we already do this, however other Kickstarters fulfilling after Jan 1 2021 to the UK will be affected if they are not UK based.
Again this will not affect our Kickstartersor website orders as we already pay VAT on applicable sales to UK and EU customers & Backers and will continue to do so.
We would like to thank Nigel and all the team at GamesQuest Fulfilment for working so hard to plan for these changes which mean we can make the transitions for you as seamless as possible.
Our aim is that you don't even notice these changes have taken effect.

Shipping update!
The ships are currently on the water taking stock to the fulfilment centres.
The US stock, heading to Quartermaster, is currently crossing the Pacific and is due in Port November 4th, this is for the US and Canadian fulfilment.
The UK stock is just in the Suez canal going towards the Med, this is for UK, EU and Rest of World fulfilment.
Australian Backers - Towns & Taverns will be fulfilled by Aetherworks and is currently showing on their coming soon list!
Asia Backers - We have approved and supplied all the address information to the hub and we just need to confirm when the hub will begin.
And just a quick reminder that it can be up to 3-4 weeks from a port date to the rewards shipping out from the fulfilment centres.
Essen Spiel Digital
For obvious reasons Essen Spiel has gone digital this year! Hopefully an upside will be those of you who cannot usually make the trip to Germany can get involved!
We'll be there with a (virtual) stand, and we'll also be running some Twitch streams to mark the occasion.

And Finally!
We are changing our KS name, we will now be Loke Battle Mats!
Over the last 4 years our journey has been amazing and we would like to thank each and every one of our backers for coming along with us!
Our business has evolved significantly as well, and as a result we are working with Kickstarter to change our KS name to Loke Battle Mats (from Battlemats) to reflect our company name and brand.
Loke Battle Mats is the brand we operate under and you will be able to find our products in local gaming stores and online now, so it is important to us that our name on Kickstarter reflects this.
Kickstarter have allowed us to make this change so that we can continue to be accountable to you, our backers, for both past and future projects. It matters to us that we are fully transparent about who we are and which products we produce, which is why we are updating you on this name change.
